Around 1830hrs Engine Co1 was dispatched along with several medic units to the 5700 block of W Old Mountain Rd just off of State Rt 208 for the reported veh crash involving a dirtbike. Upon arrival Medic2 requested helicopter pegasus for transport of a priority red patient.

A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck the Louisa area on Tuesday, August 23, at 1:51p.m. (EDT), causing moderate shaking and potentially significant damage, and was felt throughout the east coast. There have been several aftershocks felt through out the area.

Shortly after 12:30 Company 1 was toned out for a plane crash into a house on Jefferson Highway at the edge of town. First in units reported fire and heavy smoke showing. Units from Mineral, Company 2 and Trevilians, Company 6 arrived shortly afterward and assisted with manpower and equipment.
