Around 0330hrs Engine7-1 and Wagon1, along with Medic7, Medic1 and Rescue1-7 was summoned to Interstate 64 West bound in the area of the 140 mile marker for a reported Auto Accident. A little after 8pm Engine Companies 1,2,6, Medic1 and HR4 were dispatched to 806 Bannister Town Rd for the Residential Structure Fire. Chief6 was the first to arrive assuming command and reporting a residential structure fully involved. Responding units were Wagon1, Tanker1, Tanker2, Engine6, Tanker6, HR4 and CFR2, 3, 4. Units operated onscene for several hours.
Around 1830hrs Engine Co1 was dispatched along with several medic units to the 5700 block of W Old Mountain Rd just off of State Rt 208 for the reported veh crash involving a dirtbike. Upon arrival Medic2 requested helicopter pegasus for transport of a priority red patient. CFR1 and Engine2 handled the LZ which was set-up at the intersection of W Old Mountain Rd/Captain Meade Rd not far from the accident scene. On Wednesday night at 2115hrs fire units were dispatched to the old carterfields building in the town of louisa for the commercial structure fire. Attack1 arrived shortly after reporting a small fire in a trash can located in the foyer area of the building. Attack1 and Engine2 was able to handle all other units were placed in service. -RS
Around 2000hrs Units were dispatched to 114 Loch Lane Dr, for the Fire Alarm in the Multi-family Apartment Complex. Truck1 arrived to find smoke showing from the the front door of the apartment. After investigation it was determined that food had been burnt on the stove and there was no extension into the walls. Engine2 and Brush1 assisted with ventilation and units were released shortly after. -RS

At 0840hrs Engine Company 1 was dispatched for the Outside smell of Fuel in the area of Family Dollar in the Town of Louisa. A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck the Louisa area on Tuesday, August 23, at 1:51p.m. (EDT), causing moderate shaking and potentially significant damage, and was felt throughout the east coast. Company One was called to a three car MVA at the intersection of Louisa Road and Walnut Shade Road. A Kia sedan, waiting to turn onto Walnut Shade, was rear-ended by a Ford pickup which was, in turn, rear-ended by a Ford sedan. The Ford sedan was driven underneath the pickup and the Kia coming to rest across the road in the ditch. The driver of the pickup was transported to the hospital after complaining of neck injuries. Company 1 ,2 and 6 were called to Purcell's Lumber around 1130 for a propane gas cylinder leaking inside a building. County Fire/Rescue 4 in command had incoming units defensively staged prior to insuring leak was secured. After leak was secured the building was ventilated. All units were back in service by 1220.
Company 1 was callred to provide water supply at a structure fire off of Route 15 in Fluvanna County. Palmyra VFD& Kent Store VFD were battling a fully involved structure fire and requested tanker and manpower assistance. Units from Zion Xroad VFD and Trevilians VFD were called upon also. Shortly after 12:30 Company 1 was toned out for a plane crash into a house on Jefferson Highway at the edge of town. First in units reported fire and heavy smoke showing. Units from Mineral, Company 2 and Trevilians, Company 6 arrived shortly afterward and assisted with manpower and equipment.
