Around 0635 Tuesday morning, Company 1's Truck 1 and Tanker 1 were dispatched to assist Mineral Company 2 at a structure fire in the 605 Trailer Park. The trailer was fully involved upon arrival of the first units (engine and tanker) from Company 2. At the time of the initial attack, the trailer, a shed, a boat, and three vehicles were aflame. Upon arrival Engine 5-1, from Locust Creek Co.5, was assigned to protect exposures at the rear of the fire. Tankers from Spotsylvania Co.2 and Holly Grove, Co.4 were called for additional water supply to supplement Tanker 2 and Tanker 1. Residents were evacuated from the nearby dwellings. County Fire Chief Dube' had assumed command and reported the initial attack by Co.2 and Co.1 personnel had knocked down the major bulk of the fire around 0655. Most units from Louisa, Locust Creek, Spotsylvania, and Holly Grove VFD's were released around 0900 and units from Mineral VFD were still on scene at noon.
