Monday morning at 0738, Companies 6, 1,and 7 were dispatched to a reported fire in one of the guest cabins at Shenandoah Crossing Resort. Company 24 from Gordonsville and Company 2 were dispatched a few moments later when the caller reported that the cabin was fully involved and there were other adjacent cabins with registered guests.  County Fire/Rescue 2 , first on scene, assumed command. Engine 24 and Truck 1 were first in units and initiated an attack on the fire and protection of exposures. Engine 6 and Wagon 1 set up water supply at the lake for the tankers from companies 2,6,7, and 24. The fire was knocked down and extinguished within twenty minutes however the structure was a total loss.  Units remained on scene for salvage & overhaul until after 10am.
